Like Liked by 2 people. Had people been more educated then the phenomenal difference between the male-female sex ratio wouldn't have been there. In india, lets take the example of kerala. It has one of the highest literacy rate in india but that doesn't make them educated.
Than today sex determination thing of a child in womb wouldn't hv been done. It's an established norm these days. People confuse literates with educated, and educated with learned. Education needs to be redefined. You are commenting using your WordPress. You are commenting using your Google account.

Educated are always literate but literate are not always educated, we're always taught to read, to write, to understand therefore we are literate but for being educated, our understandability, our application of ideas, our thoughts, should be in an appropriate direction. One can also be educated, without being literate what matters is awareness which comes through knowledge. If one is educated, he need not have to prove his literacy. Literacy is similar to formal education which we all learn in our school, colleges, and acquire degrees, but education is what we learn through experience, it is our mentor which makes us educated in the real sense, no matter how much we are literate.
The outcome was the establishments with teachers, which provided a formal education. Education refers to the process of overall development of a person and involves his acquisition of knowledge, values, morals, skills, habits, and beliefs. Education helps to build a wiser man, providing him with the ability to distinguish between right and wrong. In contrast, literacy is just a step toward education. Literacy cannot always build a wiser man.
As once mentioned by Frederick W. Robertson, literacy can be forgotten, but education cannot. For instance, most of us know how to bake a cake, but not all of us are recognized as bakers. To become a baker, one must have years of experience and good practice.
However, even though a person is literate, if he does not have a proper education, there is a high chance that his actions and behaviour would not reflect those of an educated and sensible person.
